I walk up to the stool and sit down only a few seconds after being put on my heat the hat proudly exclaims "RAVENCLAW" I smile broadly as I stand up and head over to the table

(Since I'm really short on time right now, I'm gonna RP as Poppy before I make her form. This needs to be in her POV.)

She had a tendancy to do it when she was nervous, gripping her upper forearm with her opposite hand. If she pressed it tight enough to her chest, she could imagine that for a moment--just for a moment--that she was shrinking. Pefhaps she was small enough that nobody would see her. . .
"Cox, Poppy!"
Oh no.
Poppy gradually lifted her head up, blinking away the candlelit lights. Many were watching. . . So many people. . . They all seemed to melt together into a big monster that threatened to swallow her whole.
Yet somehow she managed to walk closer. Closer. Then there she was, out on the stool, the Hat descending upon her.
She looked over to the Gryffindor table and felt a surprising wave of reaasurance. Those faces, all of them, would become like her family. They would support her. They wouldn't hate her in the slightest. As if that wasn't enough, Amanda and Simon were among them. She'd be with family.
Family.
The word was a sweet coo to her ears, one that turned her muscles into water and allowed her eyes to flutted shut. She almost even smiled. She'd be in Gryffindor, and all would be wel-
